Sweeteners
Maltitol
A sugar alcohol with a pleasant sweet taste that is non-carcinogenic and significantly reduced in calories. Maltitol is all natural and made from corn. Maltitol is slowly absorbed and has a minimal impact on blood glucose levels. It also does not have the same insulin response as sugar. For this reason, some people do not count the number of Maltitol grams in the total carbs number. Only part of the ingested Maltitol is metabolized. This lowers the caloric contribution from four calories per gram which sugar has, to only 2.1 calories per gram.
Splenda / Sucralose
The only non-caloric sweetener made from sugar. It has a clean sweet taste that does not leave an unpleasant aftertaste.
Chocolate
Sugar Free Chocolate
Some of our products require the use of chocolate. In those cases, we use the best of the best tasting sugar free chocolates available today. The taste has vastly improved and the brands that we have selected taste as good or even better than regular chocolate.
Unsweetened Chocolate
For intense chocolate flavor and to add balance, we use unsweetened chocolate.
